96. Since Twilight was originally a stand alone story, there were no plans for werewolves. People like to think there are "Easter Eggs" in Twilight hinting to the fact that Jacob is a werewolf. Stephenie Meyer says on her website, "There was no thought of werewolves in my mind as I wrote it. The dream Bella had of Jacob transforming into a wolf to protect her had no foreshadowing significance at the time." Sorry guys, Jacob's werewolf story is all New Moon based.
