92. The infamous paper cut. Why would the tiniest drop of blood drive Jasper to try to kill Bella?
Jasper was "raised" to be a killing machine. As SM puts it, Jasper "he has consumed a lot of human blood." It is hard just to turn off the craving for your favorite and only food. He has tried very hard to change and maintain the vegetarian lifestyle. According to a personal corraspondance from SM to the Twilight Lexicon, "The Cullen lifestyle is like an almost incomprehensibly peaceful retirement for him."
